Economic

An estimated 920 jobs will be created, many for local youth in the hospitality industry.
Provision of 2 or more hotels.
Will attract many visitors to the area, many international.
Will bring people to the area who will stay here and visit surrounding regional attractions.
Provision of recreational and tourism infrastructure which will attract more people to the region as residents, holiday makers, recreationers and tourists.
This will generate a major stimulus to the local and regional economies.
The proposal will provide expanded market outlets for local goods and produce.

The development will complement the existing village at Shoalhaven Heads.
The extra population and tourist trade will sustain a range of services and facilities including:
- cafes/restaurants/bars
- marine associated retail
- boutique shops
- resort based retail
- medical services
- additional public transport
The development will provide a wide range of job opportunities for locals, particularly for the youth. Approximately 3100 new jobs will be created in the construction of the project. Approximately 920 permanent and part time jobs in will be provided in tourism, hospitality, and service industries, boat building, repairs and maintenance and in wine/food, arts and crafts and in marine research.
The developers will seek partnerships with University of Wollongong, Nowra TAFE and other tertiary institutions to provide local courses and placements in tourism and hospitality, boat building repair and maintenance, marine biology, maritime studies and historic boat restoration.
